Thirty chiefs from NAF Atsugi and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 received their anchors during the ceremony. The newly pinned chiefs of CVW-5 had just returned earlier in the day from a four-month deployment aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63).
